TOPOGRAPHY

BLOCKAGE

Major
Minor Sectors: partial blockage in west during low winter angles
Minor Isolated (tower/trees/etc): Comm tower about 1000m at 66 deg

Note: The blockage immediately to the west does not show in blockage calculations using raw DEM because the DEM does not include trees. (Modifed DEM with added tree lines do show it.)

SEA/LAKE CLUTTER

Sliver on Lake Ontario with winter angles. Although calculations suggest the lake might be visible, buildings hide lake surface.

WIND TURBINES

Yes, Shelbourne 60km to west.

ROADS/HYDRO/etc

The 400 Hwy passes by site, and is seen in Doppler data where it is going up hills that can be seen from radar
Rail yards in Vaughan (CN, Hwy 7, 18km @ 163) and Colraine (CP, Hwy50/Rutherford, 18km @204) are seen.
The airways into Pearson can be seen (if colour tables are just right).
Ship traffic to Welland Canal occasionally shows.

MISCELLANEOUS

Conventional images often show a spike over Lake Ontario from central Toronto, which is assumed to be multiple reflections from buildings.
King Radar has been subject to radial interference paterns which are believe to be due to wireless LANs.
